In television, an executive producer usually supervises the creative content and the financial aspects of a production. Some writers have worked as both the creator and the producer of the same show.

Django’s Journey

Residents from Munster, Indiana teamed up with their local police department to tell the story of K-9 Django. Their goals were to enlighten the community about the importance of having a K-9 on staff, and encourage viewers to donate to Munster’s self-funded K-9 Unit. This video premiered at the town’s 2019 National Night Out Against Crime Celebration, and helped generate enough funding to welcome two new K-9s onto the force.
